The Role:
To manage the production of the accounts for the PF UK entities in-line with the Group policies and regulatory obligations and in-keeping with the quality and timescales required. Take a leading role on Group consolidation reporting, ensuring it is completed to group deadlines, and that all key financial risks are adequately covered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and motivate direct reports to ensure that demanding performance targets are achieved.
- Responsible for the production of UK statutory and management accounts for all UK entities in accordance with Group and regulatory requirements within the timescales given and drive the timely conclusion of audit queries..
- Responsible for the submission of monthly and quarterly financial information required by group for consolidation. Lead the other finance teams in the scheduling of month-end and quarter-end submissions and influence them to provide high quality reports on-time.
- Responsible for the submission of controls evidence and reporting to Group in Beacon and FACT or related control systems.
- Take responsibility for liaison with wider finance teams, external advisors and auditors.
- Responsible for leading balance sheet reconciliations across the Finance department (including sensitive accounts) ensuring that they are performed as per the local and BNPP Personal Finance policy requirements. Full responsibility is to be taken to ensure compliance with the Sensitive Account policy. Influencing other Finance teams to complete quality reconciliations and account justifications on time.
Skills & Attributes:
- ACA, ACCA or similar
- Ability to communicate and influence all levels of management and work with other departments
- IFRS9 and UK taxation Methodology Experience
- Experience of managing group consolidation process and reporting
- Audit experience
- Accounting Leadership Experience
