Community and Charity Programme in the UK

In the framework of the Community and Charity Programme, BNP Paribas UK has organised and participated in many projects and charitable activities in 2009. The programme operates on many levels, such as making donations to key community partners, creating long-lasting positive changes to the community, supporting after school-clubs and programs, and focusing on the environment and recycling.

Summer of Volunteering in Regent’s Park
Over the summer 2009, employees of BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Banking participated in five environmental projects taking place in Regent’s Park. The projects, ranging from building birdhouses to clearing out self-vegetation to were all designed to support the Park in their conservation work…

‘Working in the City’
BNP Paribas Securities Services launched a series of ‘Working in the City’ workshops, with the goal of putting something back into the community. The workshops aim to give disadvantaged young people the opportunity to find out more about the financial sector, discover what opportunities are available to them and promote the benefits of Higher Education to students across the country…

The Food Chain: Nutrition services for the sick
The Community and Charity Programme has supported The Food Chain on a number of projects over the last year and also invited them to come into the office for our annual “CSR fair” in London. This gave The Food Chain the opportunity to talk to staff face-to-face about the charity and discuss what sort of volunteering opportunities they might be interested in…
